Above is a scan I just did of a shot from my very first roll of 120 film. I had it scanned at a local lab when I when lived in NYC but for whatever reason that lab cropped the scans into rectangles, which annoyed me greatly. Finally I can scan this roll the way it was shot. I have some stereoscopic shots to scan and a roll or two of half-frame exposures that didn’t scan right the first time around. This also may be the kick I needed to start home developing. Caffenol may be in my future.
This shot is of “Little Stonehenge” in Van Cortlandt park, where back in 1910 they tested the weathering of various stones to see which would be best suited to build Grand Central Terminal. I think they figured it out.
