Daye Quille

A little rough, timing a little weird (Audacity’s latency issues), but hey, eat it. I’ve been sick & am several days into a Ny/DayQuil haze. Enjoy.

Dakota King.

Slow bloggin’ days, I know. Above is a little track that took me much longer than necessary. It’s some electrified kalimba, ukulele, and a dictionary & a planner as drums. Enjoy.

Bruquilas.

Put some Aquilas strings on my cheapo Hilo Baritone and they’re some kind of magic! It sounds like a new instrument. I snagged ‘em at First Flight Music, which is one of very few places in NYC to find this brand (& a great music shop in general). The above is some randomish improvisation. Please dig.

Dishwashing.

Webcam audio of some random kalimba-ing while m’wife washed dishes in the kitchen (as background accompaniment, I assume).

Here’s a little video of Paul Ramirez-Jonas’s Long Time, a working water wheel at the end of Pier 66 in NYC that forever counts its own revolutions. Some more info here.

Music is a quick little ditty played by me on ukulele.
